At least 40 people shot over the weekend in Chicago

The violent weekend in Chicago saw at least 40 people shot. Seven people were killed. Authorities say four children were among the victims in one incident. Tonight, Chicago Police are combing for suspects after a deadly weekend of gun violence. Multiple incidents injured at least 40 people and killed seven, including 9-year-old Ariiana Molina.

EMS responded to multiple people shot at 2021 West 52nd Street. This is the aftermath after the girl was killed Saturday night. A witness told police a black sedan approached a crowd of people gathered outside for a celebration on the city’s south side. A gunman then opened fire. Eleven people were hit, four of them children. Little Ariana was shot in the head and died from her injuries.
